Recruiting for Winter 2016 Urban Farm Corps

Green City Force is looking for youth interested in agriculture! See below for more information:
Urban Farm Corps is a 10-month Americorp service and job training program through Green City Force; a non-profit organization built on principles of sustainability, social, economic and environmental justice. 

Green City Force has open slots available for interested, service minded and agriculture enthusiast. The service projects for the Urban Farm Corps members include but not limited to building large scale urban farms throughout the city (which will include basic carpentry skills training), composting alongside Master composters, managing community engagement activities, corp production, food distribution at farms. The program supports the corps members in leadership and professional development, networking opportunities, and technical training in agriculture and energy.

High school or GED
$500 biweekly stipend
$5,500 Education award through Americorp
Monthly metro card
Job placement assistance
Professional culinary training
and other "green" certifications
